
Northside Hospital Gwinnett recently honored 30 doctors who completed the Graduate Medical Education program.
It was the 10th group of primary care and transitional year residents to graduate from the Northside Gwinnett Department of Graduate Medical Education, according to Dr. Mark Darrow, designated institutional officer and director of the program.
“Northside Gwinnett continues to produce physicians who are committed to service in Georgia and beyond,” said Jay Dennard, the hospital’s vice president of physician services. “They receive top-notch training that will serve them, and their patients, for years to come.”
Internal Medicine Residency
- Chief resident Shaen Deimling, M.D., will join Northside Gwinnett as a hospitalist and nocturnist.
- Chief resident Walid Hmissa, D.O., will join the Northside network as a primary care physician in the Lawrenceville area.
- Chief resident Kiara Jamison, D.O., will pursue a cardiology fellowship in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
- Chief resident Bryan Kamalaker, D.O., will join Baylor Scott & White Primary Care in Dallas.
- Chief resident Richard Khanal, MBBS, will join Riverside (California) Community Hospital.
- Farhan Choudhury, D.O., will join Stanford Health Care in Emeryville, California, as a primary care physician.
- Dori Drakhshandeh, D.O., will join Kaiser Permanente in the Atlanta area.
- Briana Ford, D.O., will join Northside Forsyth Internal Medicine and Geriatrics in Cumming.
- Ken Johnson, D.O., will join Emory Healthcare in Atlanta for a palliative care fellowship.
- Ryan Kim, M.D., will join Kaiser Permanente as a primary care physician in Duluth.
- Catrina Kure, D.O., will join Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta for a palliative care fellowship.
- Aidan Petrovich, M.D., will join Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for an informatics fellowship.
- Neisha Rougely, M.D., will join Northside Primary Care Snellville as a primary care physician.
- Srijana Sharma, MBBS, will join Northside Buford Primary Care as an internist.
- Thomas Skelton, D.O., will join Northside Gwinnett as a hospitalist.
- Nicholas Trum, M.D., will join Benefis Health System in Great Falls, Montana, as a primary care physician.
Transitional-Year Residency
- Tal Greber, M.D., will pursue a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
- Sahl Hakim, D.O., will pursue a diagnostic radiology residency with the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville.
- Renaid Kim, M.D., Ph.D., will pursue a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of California in San Francisco.
- Christopher Mejias, M.D., will pursue a diagnostic radiology residence at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
- Kevin Shrake, M.D., will pursue a radiation oncology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle.
- Yacine Sow, M.D., will pursue a dermatology residency at the University of California in San Francisco.
- Raheev Subu, M.D., will pursue a diagnostic radiology residence with Brown University through the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Sports Medicine Fellowship
- Marc-Edwin Saint-Louis, M.D., will join Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of primary care sports medicine in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
- Cord Sheehy, M.D., will join the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and serve as an assistant professor of pediatric sports medicine in Little Rock.
Family Medicine Residency
- Heather Dill, M.D., will join a family medicine and obstetrics clinic in Covington.
- Allison Guimaraes, M.D., will join Piedmont Urgent Care in Augusta as a primary care physician.
- Shannon O’Reilly, D.O., will join Vanderbilt University for a hospice and palliative care fellowship in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Veer Patel, D.O., will join CareNow Urgent Care as a primary care physician in Nashville.
- Amy Tran, D.O., will join Excelsior Healthcare Primary Care as a primary care physician in Lawrenceville.
The program year ended June 30, and a new class of residents and fellows will begin this fall.
