Northside Hospital has been named one of the nation’s top employers by Comparably, earning recognition among large U.S. companies in three major categories: Best Perks & Benefits, Best Company Happiness and Best Work-Life Balance.
The Comparably awards highlight Northside’s ongoing commitment to supporting its employees and fostering a workplace culture rooted in compassion, collaboration and balance.
Northside’s culture of excellence extends beyond the workplace to every aspect of patient care. Over the past quarter, the health system received numerous national accreditations and quality awards across its hospitals.
The Joint Commission (TJC) Gold Seal of Approval® was awarded to several Northside facilities for excellence in stroke and joint replacement care:
- All five Northside hospitals earned recognition as Advanced Primary Stroke Centers.
- Northside Hospital Atlanta and Northside Cherokee received certification for Joint Replacement – Hip and Knee.
- Northside Gwinnett was also recognized as a Comprehensive Cardiac Center.
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), Office of EMS and Trauma redesignated Northside Atlanta, Northside Cherokee and Northside Forsyth as Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Centers (ECCC). Northside Gwinnett and Northside Duluth were previously designated Level I centers.
The Maternal Levels of Care Verification Program, through TJC, DPH and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, reverified Northside Atlanta as a Level IV maternal-care-verified facility — the highest level of maternal care. Northside was the first hospital in the nation to receive this verification in 2022.
Northside Gwinnett was reverified as a Level II adult trauma center by the American College of Surgeons following a comprehensive site visit.
Northside also earned additional national recognitions this quarter:
- Named among Forbes’ 2025 lists of America’s Best Employers by State and America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals.
- Recognized by Newsweek among America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2025.
