Northside 101: Brain tumors

A brain tumor is an abnormal growth in the brain that can develop from brain tissue or spread from another part of the body. Some tumors are cancerous, others are not, and many cause no symptoms at all.

In this video, Dr. Harlan Bruner, a neurosurgeon at Northside Hospital’s Advanced Neurosurgery Associates, explains what brain tumors are, how they’re diagnosed and the range of treatment options available. He also shares how advances in care allow many people to return to normal life after diagnosis.
