Lead with Heart: Teach CPR

Teaching CPR

Traditional CPR courses can be a barrier to learning CPR. Classes are expensive, time consuming and difficult to find and attend

Reluctance to perform CPR can be from several misunderstandings:

  • Unsure of if the correct steps
  • Unwilling to perform mouth – to – mouth ventilations
  • Afraid they may do it incorrectly and harm someone
  • Believe AEDs are for professional first responders

CPR can be learned in just a few minutes and can be taught by anyone.
There are only three steps to remember to perform CPR:

  1. Call 911
  2. Push on the chest
  3. Shock with an AED
Mouth to mouth is not needed and may be harmful.
Chest compressions are easy and do not cause harm.
AEDs are safe and provide step by step instructions easy to follow.
